What level of security provides a SSL?

When installing a Certificate of Security in a Web server the following levels of security activate:

  • Coding of data: the data that interchange between the navigator of the user and the servant will be based. In case these data were intercepted in their transit by the network they would be directly unintelligible.

  • Authentication of the servant: it verifies the identity of the parts. The visitor of a webpage will know that the proprietor of this site has followed an identification process before a competent certificate authority.

  • Integrity: the interchanged information is protected of being seen or being altered by third parties.

  • I do not repudiate: no receiving or intermediary organization of a transaction will be able to allege that this purchase/sale is realised with data of low confidence, avoiding that considers a nonvalid operation.
